    Hi there,
i tried installing and setting up the free koreplayer including the free sample content.
Everything seems to be right, but after several tries, koreplayer still does not recognize any sounds, although everything is set up properly..
I would really like to use it, and also to try the free 'christmas-soundpack' for kore player, and maybe buy additional soundpacks in the future.
    But it doesn't work, aaah!
The content path is correct, i checked the settings many times!
Can anybody help me? I haven't found a similar problem on the net..

    David:confused:

    Welcome =)

What do you mean; not recognize any sounds?

    1) Have you run the player as a standalone?
    2) Did you doubleclick on a sound to load it?
    3) Do you have the player's transport running?

I didn't want to start a new thread because I may have a similar issue.

I got an email today from NI in regards to a free Kore Player Holiday pack. I downloaded it, and most of the presets do not work. Most of the patches give me the error "There was an error trying to acquire a license for this patch! Error Message:" and do not load. After I click OK, I get the same error message one more time and then when I click it it goes away and there is no sound from that patch. There are some exceptions that I've noted.

    - Patches from "Absynth Spectral Expansion", "Absynth Twilights" & "Essential Bass" load up fine with no error message.
    - Patches from "Acoustic Refractions" and "Sonic Fiction" give the error message, but after clicking OK twice, I can hear the selected instrument when I play notes on my MIDI keyboard as if it loaded OK.
    - All other packs produce the error message twice with no sound afterwards.

It is the same situation in both the standalone and the VST I use in Sonar 8 Producer. Please let me know if you need any more information.

EDIT: I was able to fix my issue by reinstalling (updating?) my Kore Player to the latest version. I'm good to go :) hope the OP can work out his issue :/

    Welcome =)

It sounds to me as if you haven't activated it. Run the Service Center...

    @ ew:

    1) Yes, my koreplayer runs as standalone and also as vst.
In the standalone-version i can change the settings. Audio- and Midisettings are okay,
and the content path is set correctly,
    2) but the sounds do not show up in the player, so it's impossible to doubleclick on any sound.. : (
    3) Sorry my english is not the best, so what do you mean with:
'Do you have the player's transport running?'
    ---
One more thing: my koreplayer is activated and i also made an update, but problems still the same...

Now have downloaded the newest version of kore player from the web again, installed it, and same problems again.
The sample content path is set as:
    C:\Programme\Native Instruments\Kore Player\Kore 2 Sample Content ,
and everything seems okay, the sounds are there in the folder,
but they still don't show up in the plugin...

How about standalone? All NI apps must be run as standalones after an install or update, and before trying to use them as plugins. Hence, the statement in the last page odf the installer.

And the sounds aren't appearing there either? What do you have showing- could you post a screenshot?

Other NI-Apps work so fine on my system, the kontakt player 2 with garritan j+b band and the kontakt player 4!

Does anything show up if you click on one of the categories?

No, if I click on one or more categories, there is nothing showing up.
But the sounds should show up automatically if the content path is set correct, right?
