I just got a Korg NanoKontrol to use with Traktor. It shows up as a midi controller in the midi setup and I checked them, but when I went to try to set a fader or knob and choose learn, nothing happens.
I tried the same in Traktor 3.4 and it worked fine. Works fine in Live, Reason, etc.

I downloaded latest driver Mac (1.08) and restarted and still no life in Traktor Pro.

    Anyone know maybe the problem?

This has happened to me recently with my nanoPad. I usually unplug the nano while still in TPro and relaunch TPro then plug in my nanoPad and it see's it again properly. Try that.

yeah, I have the problem where it shows up in the menu, but when you press "learn" it doesn't actually receive any midi messages. If I can't figure it out I am gonna sell the p.o.s.

somethingblue - you have the latest drivers for Mac/PC?

    Mac:

    PC
    http://korg.com/uploads/Download/KORG_USB-MIDI_Driver_for_Windows_V1.11_633652151011540000.zip

anotherthing guys.....when you have this problem is your audio working properly...just look at audio next to midi and see if the "audio horn" is blue or red? This is just happened to me again and when I have my routings setup correctly my "horn" changes to blue and then my nanoPAD starts working as well.

I dd not have my audio set correctly, but maybe this could be the error.
It did not matter with T 3.4, but maybe it matters in Pro.
    Thanks and will try it.

i was trying to map my midi without having the audio8 plugged in. I never had this problem in the past (working on things in say, airport or hotel), but now I have this issue. Oh well, thanks again! Just wish the LEDs would correlate with the buttons pushed.

you should still be able to enable your built-in audio for it to work perfectly fine.

Had the same problem solved by using the korg editor and changing the midi channel on all scenes up a notch, as my Hercules rmx was still showing in the midi device list in traktor.

    (using a macbook BTW)

Hi after alot of hair pulling I finally got my nanokontrol working with TSP. However the LEDs do not stay lit when say I knock a loop or filter on.

I was under the impression that they should, can someone confirm this? Also all my loops/filters are set to toggle.
Is there a setting I should eb selecting in MIDI too allow the LEDs to remain on while an effect or loop is active?

    Thanks.

OK, so it turns out the buttons need to be set to toggle in Knotrol Edititor, as they work in scene 4 which is set to toggle by default.

Only problem is now that whenever I do this it doesnt seem to have an affect. I could just use scene4 all the time but would prefer to use scene 1 if I can. Guessing its soemtihng todo with saving it as a preset within the Kontrol Editor.

Just incase anyone else is having this problem finally figured it out.
In the Kontrol Editior you need to click on communication and slect write scene set inorder for this to take affect.

Also in TSP hitting slecting toggle for your button wont work as it throws it out of sync with the lights. You need to select hold inorder for it to toggle. Quite odd I know but thats how it works.

NanoKontrol wont work with ANY d.a.ws in XP...........

    Ez all,

Im guessing this may be a windows related problem rather then a NI one, but i hope that some of you have experienced the same issue.............

I am trying to use a NanoKontrol pad with my dell p.c (xp)

However, when i try to pair it with any of my software DAWS it doesnt show!

The red light is on, but no ones in :(

I have checked preferences, and it displays as "This device is functioning properly" and also tried installing the latest driver from KORG.

It does however, work on my Vista laptop upon first plug in.

Im wondering if its a midi issue.

Any help would be fully appreciated! :D

    Many thanks

    Moriatti
