    Hi,
I recently purchased a new laptop and only realized afterwards that it does not have a firewire input that I need in order to directly connect my Korg Zero 4 mixer in order to use it with Traktor Scratch Pro. Does anybody know if the mixer will work with Traktor Scratch if I convert the firewire output from the mixer into USB in order to connect it to my computer? Please help.
    Thank you,
    Yoni

if your laptop has an Xpresscard port, you'd better buy a Firewire to Xpresscard adapter, which will work better than a USB converter.

To add to goonzy's reply, there is currently no such thiing as a firewire-USB converter that works in the manner you wish.

The Xpresscard adapter may be your only chance, other than selling/returning that laptop and getting one with a firewire port.
