Korg Zero 8 .tsi

I just picked up one of these bad boys today and would love to plug in a .tsi file to get some ideas of how to use this with TSP. While I understand the concept, I am new to midi and would love a good base to work from. I have searched and turned up less than optimal results. If any of you would like to share it would be much appreciated.

I've got a Zero4 one that you might be able to work with, you'd just need to expand the MIDI and replicate the first 4 channels to get channels 5-8 running with MIDI stuff. I'm sure there are some out there who have created a mapping. Have you checked the controller subforum and/or djtechtools.com?

 

What Im trying to do is replicate a video I saw on youtube by Donovan. He uses the knobs above the screen for effects. Im not sure how to best or most efficiently utilize them.

 

Oh well that I can't help with as my Zero4 doesn't come with such. Sorry.

Your going to have to get yourself a copy of BOMES to get those encoders working like Donovan did.

I went to the site yesterday and read around a bit. It says it is a midi translator but given I am new to midi I'm not exactly sure what a midi translator is or how to manipulate it once I have it.

 

yep thats what it is.......you can use BOMES to translate keyboard strokes into MIDI messages....you NEED this to make the encoders work how you want with your Zero8. I have yet to pull the trigger on BOMES since it is $92USD.
