Hey all, this is for the Zero4/8 owners.

I'm currently working on a super-awesome (and cool) TSI for my Zero4+TF+VCI100 setup. I've been hacking away at this and will soon be layering some modifiers and whatnot over it to really make this a wicked-awesome workstation. I'm stuck on one part though...

I conveniently use a total of 8 effects regularly in Traktor and noticed that the FX Type rotary on each channel has 8 detents. When in MIDI or Audio/MIDI mode, if I turn this knob, the MIDI input indicator on the Traktor screen lights up. However I can't assign the bloody thing under ANY setting, be it button, fader/knob, whatever; clicking LEARN and turning the knob yields nothing. NOTHING. I ran the snoize MIDI Monitor utiliity (found here: http://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/) and noticed this thing outputting MIDI Channel (2,3,4,5, which I assigned to physical Channels 1, 2, 3, 4 on the mixer), CC 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 for each detent on the FX Type knob. Oddly enough, some of these values are used for the effects knobs on the Zero4 for each channel. Has anyone been able to make use of this knob for anything at all? Hello? Is this thing on?

i dont think the fx selector for each of the channel of the Korg Z4 can be asign as midi. is only usefull if you selected audio/midi and will be using the internal fxs on the zero 4. quick question though/ are you using all 4 decks with your turntables asuming you only have 2? so basically... are you able to control 2 decks independently with one turntable.

Yes I can control all 4 decks with one physical timecode deck if I so desire, the mapping capabilities are there. I don't of course, I've got 3 turntables at home and they all run timecode in channels 1 to 3 (Audio/MIDI mode).

I just find it weird that the knob sends MIDI (I can see the little light going off in Traktor) but the signal sent isn't discernible and thus not assignable. Oh well.
