KSP: aftertouch

With pitch-bend already available as %CC[128], I think a very natural extension would be to expose channel aftertouch to scripts with a new element: %CC[129]. Polyphonic aftertouch could be made available as a builtin variable $EVENT_AFTERTOUCH.

I would also like to be able to control AT with a gui control that can receive any controller but send out AT for people who's keyboards don't have AT.

 

Yes, although not explicitly stated above it should be possible to use the set_controller function to generate channel-AT messages.

 

This is a feature, that is sadly missing at this point. It shouldn't be too hard to implement.

 

I agree, but I'd like to see release velocity supported in this way as well.

Aftertouch is essential for controlling the Garritan JABB brush kit!

The JABB & GPO library also use Aftertouch for Vibrato.

The JABB - GPO Performance Patches Mike's K2 Scripts allow controlling both vibrato and the Brush stirs on the included patches using a standard cc message.

It was dissapointing not seeing this oversight addressed in the 2.2.3 update

Not having these is limiting the possibilities of the KSP.
