    High all,

I have the GR sessions on my PC lap top. It's a Toshiba Satellite running Vista. GR runs OK on it, but I am not real satisfied with the tones. They seem kind of flat and lifeless sounding.

Anyone no if it might be do to the type of the sound card in my lap top? Dose it make a huge difference having a high end card?

I don't have a whole studio set up. I just run out of the session box into a stereo for the moment till I can get something more substantial.

    Thanks for your input.

Well if you have session box then that will be sound card. In other words the sound card of your laptop is totally redundant. It's more the cpu that will have an effect.

    Best,

I did not realise there was a sound card in that thing. Well I feel stupid.

So maybe I am expecting to much from a modeller.

Anyone have any suggestions? Would a powered monitor system work any better than a home stereo?

just make sure you've selected session I/O in your preferences otherwise you are effectively using your laptop card. And this could be the problem.

regardin speakers, sorry but no idea!
