Sowari once told me he did the occasional performance on his laptop, I have been asked to do a performance of light and music in December.

    ANY IDEAS?

I use LED lights (a pair of RGB par 56 cans with midi operation, small but I can carry it).

What have Reaktor builders built that could be fun live, I want to make sounds rather than music for this gig, so anything that will sound great that I can sample and fire on a button.

I have 2 laptops with Reaktor so it could be a complex setup.

Do you do this? What do you use?

I dont know about controlling the lights with reaktor - if you took Chris Lists Beatlookup and had the keyboard commands effect the lights via keystroke that would be pretty slick. Otherwise, lottow77, Toxonic Live, Scenario, Dronofader5000, beatloopup, and a lot of the jambient ensembles would all work really well for live sample manipulation, just effects chains and there ya go. You should be able to do all of this on a single computer, too. Dont forget about midi controllers.

    midi lights

Hi, thanks for your reply, very helpful ! I will try all that you listed and let you know.
I think I will house the lights in 3 white plastic units, e.g. big plastic bins. this will make each unit into a coloured cube. so easier to see.
