Large downloads frequently fail

I've been trying out the beta of Native Access. As it happens, I had to reinstall Windows from scratch recently, so I needed to reinstall all of my NI software - and this app seemed like the perfect opportunity to do so (I'm not a fan of installing from CD/USB/HDD if I can help it).

For the most part, I'm very happy with it - with one problem: large downloads have a habit of disconnecting mid download with a "Failed" message. I can resume by clicking retry, which at least resumes from where the download left off (at a cost of scanning through all the already-downloaded data to verify it), but it seems to happen with annoying regularity.

I don't experience this sort of issue with other downloads/download managers, so I'm 99% sure it isn't something specific to my connection. At the risk of second guessing what is going on, it feels like the app is not very resilient at retrying the connection if it is cut off (or it loses connection to NI's servers too easily).

At the very least, it would be nice if the app would auto-retry the download it it fails without the need for user intervention - that way I know I could just set a bunch of installations to download and install and leave my machine (that is, after all, part of the reason for having a download manager in the first place).

Anyway, in all other respects the app works great for me. Once an app is downloaded, it installs seemlessly with nary a failure that I've noticed. Good stuff!

    Hello,

had the same issue, you can only wait till the end of downloads even if it doesn't load till the end and restart download again. It will continue with download at the point where it failed cause it divides the downloads in ten megabyte parts. Better would be an automatic re-try, let's say three times, but if one ten megabyte part has an error it stops downloading without re-downloading that part and go on.
