    ...with Pro-53.

    I only now got it.

I am not into dance/hard electronica/techno music but really into ambient, some dub, and some synthpop, and I have to say that Pro-53 is what I was missing in order to create some of the stuff I like (read: David Sylvian, New Order, Eno...)

Now if anyone would like to fill me in about the presets in the Library that would fit this bill, I would appreciate it.

Aye, same boat here, vinitchi. I got the '53 in the Komplete Classics box; I'd only bought it for the EP and AP. It's a really nice synth when you get into tweaking it out, especially programming CC changes in your DAW.

Am still working on some Boards Of Canada-esque sounds, but it's heading in the right direction!

Yes, actually the Pro 53 was the synth, which got me into all the NI stuff, and I'm still liking it. So, NI, if you're reading this: Don't you ever, never, discontinue this little beast, instead update and enhance it, to stay up to date. You did it with the FM7, you can do it also with this one.

Great to hear from you seasoned users. I posted that message in an effort to get people talking about Pro-53 again, and keep it alive.

It took me a while to get the software, because I was dreading the fact that it can be discontinued, but when I got the Komplete (a total steal at a sale on Guitar Center) a couple of weeks ago, I realized I needed to have put my hands on that things earlier... It is great! Next to FM8, it gives me almost all I need to indulge in "ambient/synth" music...

And yes, please NI, do not discontinue this program. It would be a crime, no matter how long it has been around... So easy to use, so awesome sounding...

    Cheers,

    V.
