launchpad causes pops and clicks

traktor 1.2.6 windows 7 | core2duo processor

when the launchpad is hooked in via the controller settings menu the tracks play back with a lot of distortion. unmap the controller and the sound quality returns back to normal.

 

Got LEDs lighting up via send monitor state? That's your problem and a common issue with Traktor on Windows machines...been waiting on a fix for this for about ummmmm.....a year.

Actually there is a fix for this.

 

I'm using a fully mapped launchpad with Traktor Pro and I don't have any sound issues. All configured buttons use LED sends as well.

 

Using a Mac by any chance?

 

I am. An i5 model to be exact. Is it a Windows related issue?

 

I currently use Reason for production and Taktor for djing along with the Stanton scs3 system. I am about to get Ableton and i was really want to get a launch pad or apc20 but i dont know if the scs3 will work simultaneously with them.

There is a thread on another dj forum (DJ Techtools) where someone created software that helps with this problem. The problem is common on windows machines when there is LED feedback present. The large midi states transferring causes the crackle and pops.

If you read on there is a final type version to use. you would need to DL midiyoke to use his software.
