I wonder what's the most intuitive and usable method of layering a drum sound in Maschine, let's say a kick drum that consists of multiple kick samples (808 + accoustic)? In my go to sampler plugin - which by the way is a freeware plugin - it has always been such a joy to create drum sounds on the go.

I just had to drag all the drum samples I wanted to layer on the same key, then I could still edit each and every sample individually to create the sound I wanted to make
    - tune each and every sample independently
    - put the samplers built in effects on each and every sample individually (filtering!!!)
    - route each and every sample to another output to seperately process them further with external effects
    ...

In Maschine it's very different. I can put multiple samples in one Sample by adding more Zones, but the I can't really process them individually.
Yes, the basic operations (Play Range, Loop, Tune/Mix, Envelope...) work individually for every Sample Zone. But I want to use different effects on each of the zones that make up one Sound or send the sounds to different channels in the mixer to process them seperately...

In Maschine 1 it was possible to at least put different samples on different sounds and then link them up to play them together as one sound. Thats not optimal but closer to what I'm trying to do, since I at least can process each sound individually.

You can set master/slave in 2.0. It's just hidden in a different place.

I do it via the zone section as far as layering.
