If i connect my headphones to my iMac i hear an annoying buzzing when the Maschine controller is connected or On (you can turn it OFF by closing the app called NI hardware controller running in background).

I also noticed that if I play with the screen brightness, the noise frequency changes.

Could this be an issue related to computer grounding ?

    Hey Alex,

are you on the internal soundcard? As far as i know this only happens with the crappy apple soundchips.

    Yup. the internal one.

    I know it's crappy, but ... can I fix this somehow ?
I don't have external speakers and I don't plan on buying some.

I have worked as a apple technician for a few years, and trust me - they all suffer from the same s**t. So if you want some nice Audio Quality there is now way around an external interface like the Audio Kontrol 1 ;)

i already have a Line6 UX1 but i'm using two iMacs and I don't want to carry it with me all the time.

So I can't do anything... except to pump the brightness of the lcd-s to max.

    Thanks man.

You could try another USB-cable as well. The cable that came with my Maschine made my iMac produce a high-pitched "whine"...
