    Thanks for your posts Jake.

I think people need to realize that:

    1. Software has bugs, especially software as complicated and system dependent as Reaktor is. There are numerous different configurations a computer can have either physically (different soundcards with varying driver version numbers, harddrivers, processors, etc) or with software installed (such as OSes, virus scanners, etc). Handling all these issues are challenging.

    2. This is a version *.0 of a piece of software. If your business depends on this tool, wait to upgrade.. period. Its going to be buggy.

    3. This forum is for users helping users. Its NOT a support forum. Don't expect problems posted here to be solved. If I have an issue, I usually email support, and maybe i'll post a message here to see if someone else has experienced this and come up with a solution.

NI could do a few things better.. I think for one, communication with customers via this forum would be a great thing. Customers start to panic if they feel like they are being held out to dry. Acknowledge that release dates are going to ship when you know or suspect it... Timely responses to support questions are imperative. When someone sends an email support, at least respond with an auto reply so they know you at least got the email. Don't stop there... When its assigned, and it requires more research, let them know.

I think a lot of customers would let you off the hook a little if you just communicate.

    This ends my rant.

    Jake,

I'm glad to see that you and Matt and even some of the NI programming staff(cool!) have started showing more of a presence here on this forum. The people have spoken, and you have responded. I think that even a couple of tiny responses here from you guys will go a long way towards keeping your customers from feeling frustrated and abandonded - even if the bugs are still in the code.

    Good job,
