Licence transfer???

    I sold my maschine mk3 last month and now realize that was a dump mistake. From my understanding, when I transferred the license to the new owner, I didn't also loose my software. So I should be able to buy a used Maschine mk3 without a license since I already have the software. Is that right?

    Apparently, when transferring licenses the original owner also keeps the software, so yeah, I guess if you buy a used controller it will work fine.
    Best to get confirmation from Matt @ NI , he's in the official support team and usually replies pretty fast; I don't want to be responsible for you buying a used controller and then something doesn't work.

    Sorry guys I was out of office last week.

    That is correct, you can keep the software and only transfer the HW serial number to the buyer. He will get new software as soon as he adds the license to his own account.
