Line input / thru issue

Hey everyone,

Got a Kontrol S5. I need to plug an outside analog source (cdj or ipod or whatever).

Using the RCA AUX plug, setting a deck on "live input", I press AUX, set the line volume, etc... And then the sound is routed through the deck I selected, but also goes directly through to the master.

Which means I have one signal I can work with, and another one that goes straight through, and that I can never fade (unless I fade it with the line in level setting, which would cut the working deck at the same time.)

Which means I cannot use Kontrol S5 with any analog device.

Anyone knows how to fix this, or is my S5 simply not working properly ?

Try assigning the AUX input to deck C or D. that way you dont lose deck A or B

 

As far as I know the AUX will always be routed to the Master. It's only meant to connect listening devices such as mp3 players. It's the same on the Z2 for example.

 

Hi - I have an input (iPad) that I want to control through Deck C. However, when I assigned Line Left and Line Right to Deck C in Input Routing the sound does not come through on that channel. It only comes through the master if I press AUX - is this right??
