Line level vinyl volume

    Hi All,

    I've just set up my new Z2 and am experiencing an issue with the volume level when playing vinyl. It's insanely quiet, bare audible compared to digital files.

    I have to jack the gain and master volume on the mixer up to max to even hear it fully. The decks both work fine with the control vinyl and my records play fine when the decks are plugged into the phono inputs of the mixer.

    Please help!

    Probably need a Phono Preamp to boost the low level signal that Turntables output... give this article a read... very informative...

    and the reason it works fine through the Mixer, is that most mixers have built in preamps...just in case you were wondering....
