    Hello,

I'd like to use both live inputs with Vokator in plug-in mode rather than as standalone; is this possible? That is, I'd like to use an external synth as the carrier rather than the internal synth. So far, I can only route MIDI and audio into the VST plug-in in Ableton Live. Live doesn't support sidechaining, but I don't think Vokator does either, so I assume another host won't make a difference.

Is it possible to route separate audio inputs into Vokator's A + B inputs? Perhaps by panning?

Hi Peter, try an aux buss. Whatever you send to this buss, hardpan left or right to force it to a particular input. You may have to monitor enable or record enable an input in your host. For example a synth like 2-osc hard panned left (A), and a beatbox like Massive hard panned right (B).

Since you are a Kore user, you might try doing this all in a plugin kore instance so you don't make your live mixer complicated and strung up for a single vokated trick. In a koresound you would do the same with hardpanning the A and B sources, then assign the outputs to a group buss running vokator?

The diffiiculty is getting both audio channels and midi into a process. Most hosts channel objects do not receive midi, and only work with host automation. I believe the vokator manual recommends to not use the instrument version of the VST in favor of the FX version.

Let us know how it works!
