I played last weekend a Hard Tekno/Techstep live set @ "Georg von Rauch Haus" in Berlin Kreuzberg. I only use the MASCHINE in stand alone mode.

Here on my MYSPACE you can hear a part of it. www.myspace.com/tunknop25

    It was wonderfull!
since i stop to make musik with drummaschines (3 years ago), i never had so much fun doing the livegig.

but sorry for the bad recording, i had problems with the recording limiter. so it´s a bit over compresed.

    cheers
    The Tunk aka Mike

it´s every time a question of personal taste!

for me minmal sounds like boring knokknok and hiphop is wanking around with microtuning and macrotits :)

i make digital hardcore, and i´m a punkrocker.
so i can live with musical discrimination. ;)
i know this all my live.
some people like it and the rest hate it.

    please give me qualified critique!

constructive criticism is definitely the way to go.

a completely negative comment is no good for anyone :|

for myself, i prefer slower music...but i can recognise that his set would go down well
in clubs that go for the Harder/faster style

one criticism i have - and so far i have only listened to the first part - is that your Drum n Bass Breakbeats were a little bit old style for me, they were too recognisable.
i was doing breakbeat stuff in the early 1990s and those Breakbeats were bring rinsed in those days ;) maybe things change on the other parts?

but thanks Nord Kietz Rocker, for sharing your work with us :)

just listening to the other parts.... you take us on a real journey :)

also there is some bonkers fx manipulations - i mean bonkers in a very good way

i have done chooped amens and others myself for a long time.
not sure about the 4/4 bassdrums underneath (a bit too gabberish for me)
nevertheless i was also thinking about doing some oldschool style like breakbeat layering (c1 full loop c#1 loop starting on the first drum after the bassdrum d1 loop starting on the snare and so on). i had a missive library of beats chopped and layered like this on my a3000 these days.
anyway i am still waiting / hoping for the possibiillities a rex import would bring even if the flexibillity the .rex brings is not 100% useable without looking at the screen.
when doing breakbeats sidechaining and subgroups would come quite handy!

yea, i really need sidechaining... that is important when using Breakbeats.

Not being negative at all. This is very clever stuff. The problem is that to me it just sounds like a load of random bumping and banging.

    hallo,
i have played tonight again on a party.
with the same pre-seting but not so fast like the recording from "Rauchhaus" . i will upload it tomorow.
    again on www.myspace.com/tunknop25

it will show you what big flexibility you have, with only one kit

    cheers

maybe we have different interpretations of random. ;)

well it's hardtek, that s just how it is. without the kicks it would be like oldskool jungle without amens or 808 BDs...
