Load Kits With No Sounds?

Good Day, NI Folk!

I've consulted the getting started guide and the manual, but I can't seem to find how to load a kit without the associated pattern. Many of the kits are great starting points, but I don't really want the patterns. If I can't load kits without the pattern data, can I clear all patterns in a group quickly?

No, you can't load kits without patterns. And, I don't know of any quick way to clear the patterns.

I think all you need to do is to load your kit then right click on each pattern and then click reset. This does not take too much time ... hope this helps ... but you may know this already ...

 

Quickest way i found is from the controller, after loading the kit press pattern + button 1, hold erase and tap the pads (patterns) you want to delete. (i find this works faster then with the mouse, just try it you'll see)

 

And the patterns are not deleted forever? It comes back when you reload the kits?
Maybe there's a way to store the patterns in another folder so it don't load back everytime?

you have to re-save the Group, to get rid of the Patterns permanently.

These are great ideas! I guess as I find kits I like, clear the patterns and re-save the groups in a user folder. Thanks for all your help folks..

 

or re-save them with your own patterns in your user folder.
