Is it possibly to have tracks automatically load to your first beat marker? I have setup a midi command to jump to the beat marker with the xone, but it would be easier (and save me a row of buttons) if there is a setting (i looked around) where when the track loads, it loads to the very first beat marker.

    Thanks so much.

No. You can get it to load to a load marker though.

You can set a load marker.

    sawwwweeeet thank you guys.
    ---
well this is weird, I am creating a load marker at my tracks (by clicking a number, and then selecting 'load' from the drop down menu) and when i am loading the tracks, they do not load to that position.....

odd? am I doing something wrong?
    ---
I am mostly playing techno and house, so most of the tracks start with a kick drum my beat marker is on the first transient, along with a 'load' marker (thats yellow) on top of the beat marker.

I went back and started loading my tracks and they still lo....

nevermind, I remember a setting in 'loading' in preferences that says 'initially cue to load marker'

    got it thanks.

There is an option in settings you have to tick. I don't remember where and my NB is packed ready to go to a gig so I can't check. Somewhere under loading I think. I use it all the time.

I have another related question. Does traktor utilize one of the 8 markers for each single mark?

Can you combine the beat marker for mapping AND the load marker in 1 of the 8 slots? So say I have my beatmarker for my beat map in (1), and my load marker on slot (2), can they be combined?

I am trying to learn this program from experienced users as much as possible so I don't get too deep into my collection (with beat maps and cues for loops) and have been doing it in a not so efficient way.

As I remember, It took me about 6 hours to do my latest collection of songs (which is 500 tunes).

Did that make sense? Thanks, and thanks for all the help so far. I know some of these questions might be remedial for some, but this software is quite new to me.

No. Each of the markers is separate. you can however have 32 of them. 8 of the 32 can be mapped to the 8 hotcue points. Traktor by default will assign any new marker you add to a free hotcue but you can remap them. so you could for example create 8 hotcue points and then still have the load marker and beat marker. look up the map command in the manual.

    what i do:
the beatmarker (white, that defines 1.1.1) automatically sets to slot 1.
the first Cuepoint i create, i klick on "map" and then on the "1"-slot.
that way, the grid marker doesn`t use up one of the slots, because i don`t need that.
after i made all grid-markers, i define the "load" marker. it also doesn`t need a slot, becuase i only want the track to load there.

Just an update. Apparently there are way more than 32. Rainer mapped 150 before giving up.

I make every cue 1 a load marker and every cue 8 my grid marker... everyone does it differently..!

Thats actually a very smart thing to do.

I like the Load marker to be on one for easy access to the start of a track in case im messing about to much and i need a quick start.
Putting the Grid on cue 8 prevents it from taking up space on your hotcue buttons on your controller should you use one.

I use 7 as my load marker and 8 as my beat grid marker... 1-6 are either cue points or loops.
