Lock/Unlock User Created Playlists & Cruise Playlist

Hi my name is Rob I am new to this forum and Traktor Pro 2 which I recently purchased. I've used the program for countless hours over the last month.

I have two suggestions as a DJ who's moved from that other software over to Traktor Pro:

As the thread title implies my requests have to do with Playlists, specifically user created ones and a Cruise playlist.

With the User Created Playlists I'd love to see a Lock/Unlock feature. Being able to lock a created playlist to prevent accidental additions to and from the playlist would be great then I wont accidentally add In-A-Gada-Davida to a Best of... Love Songs playlist.... plus, an Unlock so that it can be updated later.

The second thing concerns the Cruise mode.... I DJ a lot of weddings, so I'm not a club DJ at all, and the Cruise mode is very good for cocktails and diner music, however, without a dedicated playlist as I surf around my tracklists looking for that next floor filler an undesired song can inadvertantly get played so, a playlist that when Cruise is activated only pull songs from said list would be great!

BTW I can see the advantage of being able to be in Cruise mode and not locked into one playlist.... it gives you the ability to move from playlist to playlist playing a track or two from each as you go.....

I guess what I'm saying is I see the wisdom in not tieing cruise to one single playlist.... on the flip side there is an advantage to keeping the list in one place too.

 

I do ballroom dance competitions and social music. I would love a crossfader with options. Meaning that it would smoothly crossfade from one song into the next instead of fading in the next song then fading out the last. Traktor 3.0 did this very well but they removed this feature for some reason. Not all of us play in clubs so I hope they entertain adding a crossfade with options like virtual DJ has.

In cruise mode, I find that traktor sometimes will skip a track. For no real reason.
