    Hi-

I am using Traktor Pro 2.5 and beatgridding a number of songs using the Traktor Bible beatgridding keyboard template. This is what happens:

I find my 1.1.1 point, assign it to cue 1 as a grid cue, and lock the grid. I then find my load point and, using the Shift-L shortcut from the template, try to assign the load cue which should go into cue 2. About 25% of the time, it overwrites the grid cue and appears in cue 1, which is a big problem because it wipes out my grid. I thought when a grid was locked nothing could modify any grid cue(s)? The problem happens regardless whether the grid is locked or not. I have no other active keyboard templates, no controller attached or activated, and I have added nothing to the stock template so have not created any conflicts.

Anyone had this problem? Seems like a software bug to me. Any NI developers read this forum, and if so, any ideas? I cannot detect any other patterns that coincide with the occurrence of this problem, but it is a pain in the ass and I would appreciate any input.

    Thanks!

    Rick

When you lock, only the bpm and grid is locked. Cue points can still be deleted and created.

    Completely agree with you

Hi- Thanks for your reply. Yes, I certainly agree with you that the grid (and therefore the BPM) should be locked when I lock, and the grid is represented by a white cue and occupies one of the cue slots. Thats why it is so surprising that when I then try to write a load cue, it overwrites the grid cue, which should be read-only at that point. My load cue should go into cue 2, which is the first empty slot, but instead it overwrites slot 1 which contains the grid cue and I lose the grid.
