Locked Playlists!

Please make it possible to lock the playlists (or confirm action) so that you cant accidentally drop one playlist into another!!!

 

I have inadvertently changed the order of tracks in a playlist and was surprised later, so it would also be nice if once a list were locked, it could not be changed in any way without unlocking it.

n.i. won't bring back that fuctionality because it was them who removed it because they have hard heads .

 

hmm.. How about an additional "confirm -> yes/no" Message when dropping a playlist onto another?

 

If you 'Consolidate' a playlist, you can sort the playlist in any order you like and it will always return to the way it was consolidated.

I agree that the Lock function should be reintroduced.

I can't believe that this feature wasn't added since the original request from 2015?
I'm having problems with that still in 2017 and have to reimport my playlists several times a year. Because of that I can't delete my Temp-iTunes Playlists that are used to restore all the Playlists that have been dragged accidentally into another.

The 'Consolidate' feature doesn't help here, because it doesn't prevent Playlists to be dragged into another, which is (due to the works of Mac) a very common thing to happen.
Please implement this simple feature, cause it would save a lot of time, trouble and space in iTunes itself, because I could finally remove these temporary lists!

I agreed back in 2015 and still do. It was a retrograde step removing this feature and there's no reason not to reintroduce it.

 

Yes! please reintroduce this feature! Easily remedied with a popup notification such as, "are you sure you want to merge this playlist?" or something of the sort. much love!

 

usually n.i. never reintroduce what they remove . Maybe it's a pride thing .
