    hi
i've followed instructions elsewhere on this forum (http://www.native-instruments.com/f...=36191&highlight=reaktor+logic+program+change) regarding creating an 'external midi' track in logic pro and using it to be able to select reaktor snaps through assigning program changes to it and dragging the resulting region to the software instrument track i have with a reaktor ens dropped in.

i just don't believe professionals control reaktor (as LP plugin) this way. i've got several instances of ensembles on different LP8 software instrument (not external midi) tracks and each has several snaps i want to use.

maybe it's something for a logic forum, but i wanted to check here i was setting up with reaktor correctly.

naturally, i want to assign the reaktor snap dropdown to a midi learnt knob on a midi ^surface and in record mode in logic tweak that knob and watch as it deposits editable program change events in my arrange page. i've obviously missed something here.

surely this is a popular operation, but i've spent (wasted) the whole evening trying to change one patch. i'm sure we all know how that feels..

you need to create an Instrument track in Logic and load Reaktor into it. if you create a MIDI part for this Instrument Track, you can draw in Program Changes in the Piano Roll Edit. These Program Changes will change the Reaktor Snapshots

there is more info about Program Changes in your Logic Manual.

If you want to use a knob that sends cc#s, you'll need to use the snapshot module. Might I recommend my snap switcher?
