    Hi Folks -
Friend of mine looking for an ensemble, Reak 4 only, in which you can :

    - Load an audio sample ( atmospheric field recording type sound)
    - Have spoken voice input
    - have the sound "react" to the volume and frequency of the voice

i.e. gate on/off according to whether words are spoken or not (but hopefuly more subtle reaction to volume) ; and particular frequency areas of the audio sample "recognising" pitch or more subtle frequencies from the voice .... common frequency areas, I guess.

Any ideas on R4 ensembles from the library, or elsewhere, that we could start looking at ?

    Many thanks for any advice!
    Simon

Classic Vocoder in the R4 factory library.

Try Funny Edge in the User Library. While it might not be *exactly* what you're looking for, it's a flat-out incredible effect that includes an envelope follower you can route to a large amount of effect parameters.

It can't- but you can always use a sampler to feed it instead of the synth that's part of the ensemble.
