    Hello,
I have been struggling with this issue for quite some time and have come up with zero answers.

    What I have:

HP Laptop with Windows 10 Pro
    32 Gigs of 2400 ram
    15 gen 8 processor
    S4 MKIII (version 6.0 firmware)
    Traktor 3.3.0 108

    What will happen:
A track will be playing normally and then all of the sudden it will sputter, hesitate heavily for about 10 seconds. Almost as though it is struggling to get through the track and then the problem will suddenly stop and everything is fine.

What I have observed is the "load" in the Traktor software will show at max, and there will be a spike in windows task manager under performance.
This kind of issue never happened when I had my S2, then again I was running windows 7 as well. I understand the S4 is more demanding.

Sometimes I can go a night and it wont happen at all, others it will happen constantly, and others it will happen once in the beginning of the night and thats it.
As I said, its completely random.
Thinking it was the controller, I have exchanged it 3 times since purchasing the controller, I bought a brand new laptop just for this purpose. Today, I upgraded my ram from 12 gigs, to 32 thinking that was the issue. When I got home to test it, nothing changed.

Im asking for anyone to please help, I will pretty much do anything to rid of this issue. I dont want to have to resort to selling everything after all this time being with traktor just to escape the issue i am having.
Thank you very much for your time in reading and offering any assistance.

I've had a similar problem with my dell
It seemed random, but making measurements showed this was exactly every 30minutes

Solution is to start measuring DPC latency in a way to see if this is predictable

Then remove everything you can from HP
Then slowly add one by one to find the culprit

I did a twitch stream tonight for a couple of hours. (this issue happens if im streaming or not, it doesnt matter)
When I was looking back at the video of the stream, I noticed that when the sputtering happens you can see the hesitation in the video as well.

Ran the latency mon program and it told me my machine was not showing any issues. Also installed the intel driver update tool and it told me all my drivers were up to date

When i first got my laptop i had those troubles as well. After testing intensely with latency mon i pinpointed the problematic driver and replaced it with an older version. In my case it was the touchpad. I also reconfigured the touchpad functions to a bare minimum.

When I ran latency mon it didnt find any problems.

Maybe I should call traktor tech support? is there such a thing?

Try running latency mon at the same time you are reproducing Traktor acting up. Then you should receive a list of processing intensive drivers.

If you mean by simply playing a track while latency mon is running, I didnt get any errors. Is that what you mean?

What i did in detail was this: I plugged in my S4 and after starting traktor i started latency mon. Then i loaded all 4 decks with a track and looped the whole track in each deck. Then i made sure i had keylock on for every deck. Then i set the latency under 'preferences' -> 'Audio Setup' -> 'Settings' to the lowest value possible. Then set all 4 FX Units to Group and loaded and activated 3 different FX each. Then i activated all 4 FX Units for every single Deck. Then i activated the FilterFX for every deck on any setting except the middle notch. Then i additionally hit Record. And then i waited a couple of hours and checked what latency mon had to say.

The idea is to put some real stress on the computer.

Also check out the command line collection of DJ Techtools (on their site somewhere) to deactivate bothersome functions (like internet connection running) automatically. Everything can be automatically restartet with the tool as well.

Make sure there are no windows updates on hold. They eat a lot of memory.

I ran latency mon for over 2 hours with all 4 decks in a 16 beat loop, fx, mixer effects, and recording. Where should I start?

There is an export function which collects all the data in a text file. Check which processes/drivers produce the highest latency then check with your favorite search engine for reports on troubles with these processes to look for solutions and for replacement drivers that work better. Also check if the processes/drivers that ping high on your system are really necessary and if you can switch them off or remove them without affecting the use of the computer for a gig. In other words you need to tinker with your setup on a somewhat deeper level with a certain persistance. Most of the time there is a solution to be found.

WLAN/Bluetooth/camera drivers were some of the first things i switched off as a matter of course.
