Looks like NI are trying their hardest not to sell anything

OK, so I look at upgrading my Komplete 7 to Komplete 11 Ultimate from time to time, always waiting for the great offer from NI that might finally tempt me,
So here's the current NI offering.
To buy outright Komplete 11 Ultimate £759
to upgrade from my Komplete 7 £799

Have NI broken their abacus or something ?

 

That's most likely just because the current NI sale only includes discounts for the full licenses of Komplete. So it's mainly interesting for new customers which don't already own a previous Komplete product.

As a side note: Komplete 11 Ultimate Update/Upgrade licenses were just discounted in the Thanksgiving XXL sale which ended on November 30th.

So I guess, it's probably best to wait when Komplete Update/Upgrades are on sale again. Or maybe you can find a second-hand (update/upgrade) copy for a cheaper price in the meantime. It might also be worth considering to only update to Komplete 11 (not Ultimate) for now. And then upgrade to Ultimate at a later point (if necessary).

 

I upgrade from "select" to the full version for $199. I think you can upgrade from any version to 11 for the same price. Might be worth looking at.

 

they've already had TWO different 50% off upgrade sales this year, you self-absorbed crybaby. they have the same sale every summer, you can count on that. pay attention.

 

Even so, those prices don't really make sense if true. Did you double check that, Andy? It seems like a mistake in pricing.

 

That's because K7 doesn't qualify. K-KU upgrade is for 8-11 only. I guess OP could always try to contact NI directly and ask nicely ...Although to be fair K7 was released 7/8 years ago so there's that.

 

The NI webshop only shows me prices in Euro here, but the 2-step Upgrade path from Komplete 7 to K11 Ultimate looks like this:
Komplete 7 > Komplete 11 > Komplete 11 Ultimate:

1. Komplete 11 Update (from Komplete 2-10) - € 199,-
   
2. Kompete 11 Ultimate Upgrade (Upgrade from Komplete 8-11) - € 599,-

So this is currently € 798,- in total for the Upgrade path.

In comparison the current discount price for buying the Komplete 11 Ultimate Full License directly is € 999,- (instead of € 1.199,-)

And as already mentioned, the current ongoing sale is only for the Full license of Komplete 11 and Komplete 11 Ultimate (and doesn't include any discounts for Komplete Update/Upgrade licenses).
