in the list view there is a column that says root note. in the graphic view, the root note is the key that is colored at the bottom keyboard when a sample is selected. i think its easier to use the list view for changing rootnotes, though.

See attached gif. This is what you get when you double-click the sample. Note the Root and Transpose columns - the two values are inter-related. See the manual for more info. For all of my ensembles, the Root should be 60 on all samples to make the sample un-transposed.

    Glad you like it!

    Hello everyone,

Downloaded this ensemble today and I was wondering if it's possible to midi-learn the parameters of this ens. with my BCR 2000? Simple question but I could not let it work:(

    Thanks and greets

hmmm...which parameters in particular? i would have thought the knobs would work fine with MIDI learn.

can you expand a bit, give an example of a control that is not responding.

and does BCR/MIDI learn work with other ensembles?

    Hi Sowari,

Non of the parameters are reacting on midi-learn.

Other ensembles, including the BeatLoopupV5 do indeed work in combi with my bcr 2000. So let's say If I want to midi learn the pithch shift in BeatLoopupV5, it;s just a matter of midi-assignment and go! Not with the Loop Rippa.

Any idea if this will be programmed in the future by our mastermind fried Chris List? This guy kicks ass!

Thank you anyway for the fantastic tools.

Try turning on activate MIDI in in the properties of the knobs you want to control before using MIDI learn...

Turning on activate MIDI in in the properties of the knobs does do the job.

    Thanks Ewistrand!

    Hello Clistfans and others..
I have to admit that a while ago the Activate midi-in solved my assignment problem but right now it does not seem to work anymore:(

    My questions are:
    1. Assigning midi learn when using the Loop ripper as an instrument within Live is possible, right?

2.When right-clicking on a button and going to properties I come in the midi-related area where I am able to (de)activate all kind of stuff. What is every button in here meant for? When do I use Soft take over? Or Controller en cont.note? etc etc.

I want to understand this all to use it in Live situations.

Specifically I just want to assign everything without problems to my BCR 2000. Go on stage and kick some ass!

So you understand I need your help.
If this is in the kind of, RTFM I have no problem with that but just tell me where..

    Thank you

I re-installed a new version and midi is functioning again, so I guess I disabled some stuff..Of not realizing what I was doing:)

question about the sample start from bar # ____ option. how do i get this to work? i've tried a bunch but just ended up never figuring that little part out and had to program all my beats by listening to the sequence from bar 1 and waiting to get to the part i want to reprogram (slices of).

[the closest i've been able to get to starting at the bar that i want to start on is using the midi function to start "close" to where i want to start from, but i'm using a computer keyboard as my midi trigger when i use this option and the keys don't reach all the way up to the last bar so i end up starting somewhere in the middle of the sequence but never farther, where i really need to be to program so that i can get a nice long loop.]

    hope this was clear enough.thanks.

    turn the Trk button off.

also make sure you have your info on, as i suggest you read the info
    for the Trk button.

this problem is still happening with the trk button off. (i tried this before) the sequence ALWAYS starts from bar 1.
the only thing the trk button does for me is (when lit) displays the first bar when i press start and (when un lit) displays where i WANT to start but still plays from bar one and the read marker appears in the window once we get to whatever bar i've been looking at that i wanted to start.

this by the way is the only problem i have with this ensemble. if i could figure out how to get it to start where i wanted to all the time i'd be using it 'all the time.' or at least the sequencer and delay sections.

ok, i see what you mean.

the sequence (as afar as i understand it) IS always meant to start from bar 1.

the different bar view is for programming the patterns, not for playing the sequencer from different positions. the idea being, that it is just to make the the different views clearer to make it easier to programme.

being able to have different views like this means you can programme pattersn that are more than 1 bar long.

    ahh i see now.
dang, kinda wish it would play from those bars just to make programming a tad more snappy.
    thanks for the clarifications.

btw, if you want to try a Breakbeat Looper that can loop different bars,
have a look at my FourTechre and SquareTechre in the User Library.
