looping problem when recording .. help anyone?

I have a wav file that I have loaded up and looping on my group 1, pad 1.
If I load another wave file to group 1, pad 2, I can hear it, but it cuts off my pad 1 loop..almost as if they both had the same choke grp.
However I have choke group off. So basically if I hit play, my pad 1 loop plays perfectly, if i try to record my sound on pad 2, it automatically stops my pad 1 from playing in my loop.

 

have you checked group polyphony? if it's set to 1 that would cause sample 2 to cut off sample 1 when it plays.

if you are talking about recording a sample while the sequencer is playing, I'm not sure how that works-haven't tried it yet myself. I have noticed that when you are in sample mode Maschine seems to limit polyphony to 1. but maybe a more veteran user would know. I'm still just a babe in these woods. tryin to help where I can tho.

yeah, It is when trying to record, and I messed with polyphony settings.
any pros know?
