I wanted to mention that I love the new Super Slicer Update that was added to Traktor DJ. I fully support any new addition that allows me to manipulate audio in new and creative ways.

In addition, I wanted to say that I don't mind paying for updates. I realize that Native Instruments is a company like any other, and that they depend on customer dollars in order to continue their work. I will gladly hand over $1.99 for improvements to the app.

Top 7 Requests for Traktor DJ:
    1. Keep Updating
    2. Update More Often
    3. Increase the Sound Quality of Recordings
    4. Allow more than one FX to be used at a time
    5. Allow for Automation/Modulation of FX (example: High pass filter will move back and forth on its own.)
    6. DropBox Export
    7. Add Feature that Stores Samples

    3. What’s your issue with sound quality of recordings? As far as I can tell it is dumping the raw stream into a wav without any loss.

    4. This is actually possible already...but only if the app is connected to either a S2 or S4 - 3 chained effects per channel.

Can someone else confirm what Generik is saying about the sound quality of Traktor DJ's recordings? Are they being saved as lossless Wav files?

My recordings sound much quieter than original song files.

    (Thanks for the responses)

Available to use without a loop, just like a freeze super slicer mode or something

"Quieter" is a factor of volume, not quality.

I can confirm that the quality of the recordings are top notch, but you are right, the recordings are at a lower volume than the real-time playback, and I believe this is a factor of normalization during recording. I believe the reason the recordings are normalized is to prevent peak clipping. If you want to amplify your recording, download Audacity, open your recording, increase gain and/or amplify/eq/etc., export as .wav or .mp3 and walaa.

Yeah, it comes out normalised, and with mixing without careful gain adjustments you are likely to see a lot of dips and peaks throughout your mix. I always master my mixes, adding compression to smooth it out the dynamics a bit.
