12 db filter behaves weird. It's making strange artifacts when doing fast arps and have twice as much bottom end compared to other filters. Some kind of fast envelope and some resonance needed to hear what I'm talking about.
Edit: I've found that it happens only if a macro control to resonance is assigned and res is at 100%. The macro should be at 0 to hear the issue. You can compare it to the filter without macro assigment - the sound will be completely different.
PS: when the macro is at 0, you should get no sound changes when moving the parameter it's controlling. But this doesn't happen with LPF-12db. When adding a resonance with macro all the way down, it gets a significant boost in volume.

Example patch with your exact settings would be welcome.

    Sure.
Just move the modwheel down (it'll close the filter - if the filter isn't closed the levels of the filter types will be equal) and play the low C. Now switch different filters on master filter and you'll hear how lpf-12db sounds louder than any other filter. Now if you delete "res" assigment for the master filter, it'll sound normal. I've managed to made a new patch from init preset and the problem is still there. Please confirm.

Can someone confirm this bug? I'm really tired of talking to support team - it looks like they don't try to understand the issue.

Yeah it seems to be happening, but I wouldn't hold my breath for a fix...

It's not that they don't try to understand, it's really because Absynth is destined to the graveyard.

Think of Absynth, FM8 and Massive as "comaware" as they're unlikely ever to be resuscitated.

NI should really delete the "Feature suggestions" section of instruments that are no longer going to be developed. Heck, they could also make it clear to users that bug fixes aren't going to happen either, although I suppose that makes Komplete look less attractive, so that's also unlikely ever to happen.

    Thanks for checking, EvilDragon!

Guess, you're right. Although it's a shame, since all of this synths are super powerful. Especially absynth.

To me it's more about legacy. NI don't hold as much value as they should to products like Absynth.

15+ years ago, it won the 'VST of the year' award in a lot of publications, both online and in print. Now it's destined to the dustbin.

Equally well regarded hardware synths of yesteryear fetch thousands, even if they're in need of repair.
