I just switched from MK1 to Studio and find it really annoying that there doesn't seem to be a shortcut to change the pitch by +/-12 semitones anymore. When I connect my MK1 I can still use [shift]+[15]. On the studio I have use the jog wheel and turn it by 12 steps....this is so unconvinient!
Is there an alternative or can I reactivate the old shortcuts somehow?
    Thanks in advance!

Shift +note+jog or you can note+press jog down and rotate. You can also use the function arrows with the note button. Shift+note+arrow for octave.

Check out the hardware reference manual for other combos.

Thanks for your reply b-righteous. But I would like to change the pitch by one octave without entering the arrange mode.

I just had a conversation with NI support and they told me that [pad-mode] + button [5]/[6] should work. But unfortunately it doesn't. I already had tried that before. There doesn't seem to be a real solution. Perhaps the 2.2 software interferes with the 1.82 ?

    ???
I did not say anything about pressing the arrange button. Did you try what I said?

1.82? You said the Studio. The Studio Controller does not work with 1.82. Are you using 2.2? Are you using the Studio hardware?

Support was talking about transposing the real time pad input in pad mode. This is different than transposing the existing sequencer data. Which are you trying to transpose?

Yeah, but it refers to the arrangment edit. You can only pitch single notes using this method. But thanks for the hint. Will be useful for other purposes.
I have 1.82 also installed because I was using Mk1 before. I just thought that the two version might interfere somehow. But I'm talking about 2.2 only here. When I connect my Mk1 and use the 2.2 software everything works fine (as before in 1.82).

What I'm trying to achieve is to transpose a pad generally by 12 semitones (not single notes of a recorded sequence). Support told me it is supposed to work when I push Pad Mode and button 5/6 above the displays (saying "octave-/+"). They had a machine studio standing next to the phone while they were explaining it and in their hands it worked. When I repeat the procedure it doesn't with my maschine studio.

The pad mode transpose will not affect already recorded notes. It will transpose the pads so that any playing you do will be transposed. It is a real time input parameter.

If you want to transpose the actual sounds, you do that in the sampler module parameters with the tune parameter. If you want to transpose all sounds in a group then you need to multi select all the sounds by holding select and choosing all above the lcd. Then press the plugin button on the Studio and adjust the tune parameter on the second tune/envelope page. Make sure to hold select and choose none when you are done so you don't continue to edit all pads. Note that the old group level tune from Maschine 1 no longer exist and this is the way to tune multiple samples in a group in 2.0.

-So you have pad mode transpose that transposes real time pad input.
-Sampler plugin tune that tunes the samples. This affects both input and playback.
-Sequencer transpose using the note button and jog on the Studio that only transposes already recorded notes in the pattern. (you can hold the events button and tap a pad to select all on a pad. When nothing is selected then all notes in the pattern are transposed, not just a single note as you stated.)
