Hey everyone. I’m interested in buying an M32 keyboard to go with my Maschine+ and Maschine Jam and also to use with m2 software and logic X. Anyone around here who has one and can tell me how you feel about that keyboard in combination with a main controller (Mk1, 2, 3 or +)? Peace

Feels fine, i like the tiny keys actually. I use it more than my KKS-MK2 since it's tiny and fits on top of the desk, the only thing I miss is the light guide. The tiny screen is a bit useless but this is subjective I guess.

I find it really useful. Feels nice to touch and play. I miss light guide too. For me the tiny screen is ok.
It is also durable and affordable enough to take with you anywhere.

    Consider also second hand alternatives.

I found one for the grand total of 550sek (around 50€) on second hand market. Looks brand new. I’m used to small keys since I have an akai mini mk1, but I felt I wanted something from NI for all my NI stuff I got. Didn’t really like the A25 compared to M32 from watching videos. Is it all seamless while connected to M+? Like, chords and all that?

Don't know about M+, but it's all pretty seamless with an MK3. You can control most plugin parameters from the knobs on the M32, plus transport, browser, even Ideas view (no Mixer or Macro controls though). For small sized keys, these are pretty decent. If you are staying in the Maschine environment, IMO there is hardly a better option in this category/price range.

Yes but you also have some independence, for example, you can have Scale/Chords active on M+ but not in the M32 if you want.

Good info everyone, what are your thoughts on the S49? are the features on it work the extra price?

Would like to try it in person

Compared to an M32? The only differences are normal size keys, more keys and a mechanical pitch/mod wheel.
If size/portability aren't a concern then the S49 is probably a better option for most people.

Yo. So, i got the M32 today. First I upgraded the firmware. Then I added NI stuff to allow connections through montereys firewall. THEN I started logic X through Rosetta, and then logic recognized the M32 keyboard. So far so good. However when I check “control surfaces” I see 2 different AND it says A-series. Is it supposed to do that? see image.

Yeah, that's how it shows here in Logic too; I don't have 2 tho.

So I might as well remove 1.

is there a way to do a “factory reset” on this? Or has it been done by the firmware update?

Well... IDK if that's avisable, you got an M1 which is new tech so strange behavior could be normal.
Not sure there's anything else but firmware stored on the device itself for resets to be a thing, even the MIDI templates are stored locally on the computer.

I’ve plugged my M32 to my M+ but the keys are not working, only the buttons, functions, but not the actual keyboard. Why noooot?

Check the M+ Settings and look for MIDI, I don't have mine in front of me right now to tell the exact sub menu but it should be in an obvious place.

    Thanks D!!! It worked!!

I have the traktor audio 10 connected to a usb port, and in the other I have a small hub of 4 usb inputs where I have the jam and m32 connected. Is that ok? Seems to work fine, but is it ok to do it or will I phook something up?

Yeah, it should be fine... Hubs are kind of hit or miss, sometimes they work fine sometimes there are issues. If you run into trouble get a USB3 one, (even tho M+ is USB2) they generally have shorter and thicker cables which is better for power delivery.

The one I have is really small and old, think since 2012, it seems it’s still doing what it should:)
