M32 keys not detecting + Firmware Error (-2)

    I have an M32 which worked ok with Ableton. When I tried plugging it in this weekend again, the keys stopped playing in Ableton (however play/stop, etc were detecting though and the lights on buttons were on).

    I did a reinstall of KK, along with an attempted firmware update which bricked my M32 (it is stuck in 'updating firmware' mode in the LCD).

    So now nothing works. I've done all the steps in the update firmware faq (closed all apps, etc).

    I am using a mac (high sierra). Spent maybe 5 hours on this now.

    Anyone know what's going on?
