Mac 10.8/ 2.6 Upgrade, S-4 Crackling

Can anybody help out? I've upgraded to 2.6. Running Mac OS 10.8. When I run it internally on my laptop, it sounds fine. When I hook up my S-4, I get crackling coming out of monitors and jerky motion on the playback decks. I've restarted both my laptop and my S-4, Is anybody else running into this or have any ideas on how I may track down this issue?

Ohh by the way I tried going back to 2.51 and now it has an S-4 crackling problem too.

Hey just in case anyone else runs into this, I was able to fix this by upgrading my Mac OS fro 10.8 to 10.82

Hope this little panic helps someone else out.

 

try using software update to download the latest S4 driver separately … then try installing it & running again

 

bro literally same problem. i have my first proper gig tomorrow night as well and this has happened, im fuming this update has ****ed me. i used s2 and i installed the driviers for evrything on setup just for the sake of it. im gunna reinstall with just the s2 an see if it changes it - please let me know if u fix this

 

There's a new driver in the service center specifically for this. Install it and you'll be ok.
