MAC- Komplete 9 ultimate library install issues...

    "The Installer could not install the software because there was no software found to install"- every time I try to install the library content off of the drive that NI sent me, this is the message that I get. I'm on a MACbook pro at 10.9.1.


    Bit of a drag as being unable to install the library renders the Komplete suite almost useless. Is this a known issue? Any solutions offered from NI? After shelling out the $$ for this, I can' just let it go until it's resolved....

    same problem for me with the same error message
    did someone have a solution for this ?
    Does NI replace the installation HD ?

    I have this problem also, I have found that it is the 'West Africa' content in the Kontakt sub-menu that is causing the problem, if you manually click through content-Kontakt then scroll down and de-select West Africa the rest of it will install fine.

    I sent NI a message asking for support but I am awaiting a reply. I'm using an iMac running 10.9.1

    Thank you for your answer. I'll try this tomorrow and will tell if this work for me, that could be helpful for all the others

    I have the same problem - "The Installer could not install the software because there was no software found to install". I tried the trick with deselecting West Africa, but in my case it didn't work. I also connected NI hard drive to my wife's Windows laptop and unmounted it safely (as suggested by some forum users) but then my MacBook showed me the same message: "The installer could not....". I checked also copying all the NI HD content to another drive, but it was impossible to install K9U upgrade from this new location - the message was the same: "The installer..."

    Same issue, tryied the PC eject thing and not installing West Africa. All not working.

    AHHHHHH!!!!!!!

    I hope NI tech guys will solve this problem. For me the best way out is to provide us (users) with download links for K9U upgrades. Fragile installation drives for the whole package are far less reliable.

    I think I finally got got it to work- hopefully. While waiting for my pal to show up with a Windows machine I installed a few select individual content libraries onto my mac's internal drive w/o a problem. Guitar rig, the Kontakt factory library, and Action Strings. Then after doing the windows plug in/eject tip I went to install the entire ultimate library on an external drive. Took a few hours, but no error message. I'm a lot happier about the whole thing now. Not sure if the windows trick made it worked or not, But installing the individual folders one at a time was the way to go for me. I'll post an update it there's any further developments....

    I am a complete novice with Komplete . I just purchased the crossgrade package. I have never used the software before. Does it matter that I am starting with Native Komplete 9 crossgrade? Should I have just gotten the 9?
    It's on it's way and I could return it but if it really doesn't matter than I will keep this version. I understand the use is really for better discounts on upgrading certain parts but will it make a difference as a complete installation? Thanks for your patience and help.

    deepsister- I really couldn't say for sure specific to NI, but usually a crossgrade implies that you already have an older registered version of the software in question. I would recommend checking with NI sales support or starting a new thread on this forum. Your question is kind of a different concern than this thread and might get lost in all the posts....

    It works finally !
    I installed all components separately and it works
    Only vintage organs and west african cause the same crash, i didn't install both of them

    Good for you!
    I'm still fighting but unsuccesful. When I deselected vintage organs and west africa my installation still failed.
    Did you install separate packages from the drive or you copied them to another location/drive?

    first I made an "disc image" with disc utility in mac os and then install from this (i am not sure if it's necessary)
    i installed first all instruments an plug in, and after all sound banks except kontakt libraries

    At last, i installed each kontakt libraries separately in order to find which one causes the crash : it was vintage organ and west africa

    Thanks for your hint. I will try it. When I wanted to copy and install the package from new locations (my external drives) it failed.
    By the way, have you received any reply from NI support team? I'm still waiting.

    YES.

    Got it. Installing AT LAST. Deselected all the libraries apart from basic kontact and Damage(couldnt wait on that one) and it's installing. Will do the rest and leave vintage organ and west africa then.

    WOO HOO. It's only taken over a week AND i formatted me Mac for this.

    I was to excited to early. It's stuck on the last min install, even with ALL the Kontack library de-selected.

    I've left it for hours 3 times, one over night and it won't finish.

    It's install stuff but not to the service center so that I can put the code in and be registered.

    AND still no response from NI.

    Balls.
