I apologise for a PC question, I am sure there have been lots, but I couldn't find one regarding my query.

I want to get a pc for my DJ setup, I have a 27" monitor for my setup which I usually connect my laptop to. For reasons of beer spillage, theft etc. I would like a stand-alone PC specifically for my setup... If someone steels my current laptop iz a problem.

I am seriously concidering a Mac Mini 2.5GHz with 4Gb Ram and a 500Gb HDD.
Will this be a good choice? I have never used a mac before. But this seems just right, it's tiny and relativly cheap and if they steal it it wont be much of a hassle.
It seems the specs are adequete if I look at the traktor specs. Are there any compatibility issues with macs?

I need it to run Maschine and traktor scratch pro simultaniously, like my current laptop does.
I have an Audio 8 also.

    I started all my sentences with I.... it's an I sore... :p

LOL @ I sore. I like the Mac mini and am considering one with a big monitor for my home setup as well. MacOS does have a learning curve but IMO it's not as big as Windows. Oh and since there's generally less tweaking necessary in MacOS than in Windows, you should be up and running in no time.

I love learning new things... So MacOS it is!, I would never have started DJing if I didn't learn something new every so often :p

I've decided to get an Imac instead.
It's almost as portable as a laptop, it's not very bulky, it has a large monitor. and I can put it right behind my mixer.
The mac mini will be less portable since you have the mac and a monitor to lug around.

I cannot stand the small screens on the laptop, It's difficult to scroll through tracks with a laptop on the side even with a 17".
