Mac OS Mountain Lion GM + Traktor Pro

Hi!

Just downloaded and tested out the GM version and same issue as last version (Preview 4), I can't use Traktor at all with the in-build soundcard, it lags out and high cpu, I have a Macbook Pro late 2011, so don't try to upgrade to the latest OS if you need to DJ with Traktor.

Hope for an update soon, I have two MBP and Lion works perfect.

 

i've installed 10.8 and a fresh traktor2 pro version. I can play with 2 decks (internal sound card) 13MS // CPU 30% thats OK.

 

Ok strange, you used a totaly fresh copy of ML and fresh install of Traktor?
Im used an upgraded version with both.

 

Yes, i installed the GM on a external drive... Now i tried to update but the installation tells me everytime that its not possible to prepare my system... grrr

system is updating i need to redownload it...

so... until now NO problems with traktor... later i will use my external soundcard and my cdj400 cd players...

 

Yeah! fresh install or upgrade it doesn't work with Audio 2 interface, didn't even bother to try on built-in soundcard. TP2.5 (licensed). ML 10.8 GM. (ya know that sux man...) It worked fine on Lion...

 

10.8 is NOT compatible with kontrol s4...only noise from master out and software freezing.

I can confirm this as an issue as well on July 13th, 2012. I am running:

* Fresh OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion GM Preview
* Fresh install of Traktor 2.5

I am only hearing clicking over and over. Everything worked fine under OS X 10.7 Lion.

Was *really* looking forward to grinding some music after rebuilding my entire computer and fresh installing everything.

on a side note, nobody is saying that it`s NIs fault... just a little bit about frustration ya seen?

Didn't work for me (Traktor S4 + Mountain Lion GM Seed). I'm able to control Traktor with the S4, but I can't send audio out through the S4 without getting the laggy audio / crackles.

Also, I forgot to backup the kext file the Wizard replaced, anyone have a backup they can upload? Thanks!

 

What model of MBP?

 

The (very temporary) fix hereworked for me as well.

I also started a new thread to summarize all technical and compatibility issues I am facing with NI software on the Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion GM Preview (some of the Komplete 8 installers are failing/hanging).

Please take a look and let me know if anyone has solutions to the problems I list or at least confirm if you are facing the same issues.

 

MBP mid 2010:

ML GM : AUDIO 10 works, AUDIO 8 doesn´t
totally destroyed sound from A8

ML GM (kext fix applied): AUDIO 8 works, AUDIO 10 doesn´t.
A10 doesn´t get recognized, driver reinstall fails.

 

Mid-2010

Some other software I use for development (Xcode) needs the original Mountain Lion KEXT file, so I'll hold out for official driver updates. OS X Mountain Lion should ship this week, so I can't imagine an update from NI will be far behind.

 

i Have the latest osx 10.8 and Traktor 2.5 works correctly but as soon as i plug in the s4 the waveform jitters and it sounds like the track is just clicking and popping, i tried it on my earlier machine having done a re install of 10.7.4 and it does the same thing. can anyone help. Thanks
