    Hi,

I'm trying to use my iAxe on my iBook G4, but GCIII audio setup/routing/inputs 1 and 2 each show " - not connected - " in the drop-down menu, even though the OS had detected USB Audio Codec. Very frustrating. Interestingly, it all works perfectly on my MacPro (intel processor).

Any suggestions? Your help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks.

Have you selected "Usb Audio Codec" in the audio/midi settings window?

Thanks for you reply... yes, I did select USB Audio Codec in the audio/midi settings window. Mac OS does actually show an input level from the iAxe, but GCIII does not.

Do you have any other suggestions?

    Thanks.

No, if the device is CoreAudio compliant, it will show up in the Audio/MIDI settings. Just to make sure, the iAxe has an input and an output?
You monitor the guitar by plugging headphones into the side of the guitar, right?

Other than that, folks are using their iAxe and Combos together fine on OSX, so I'm not sure what you should do otehr thn contact our tech support and Behringer too.

Please note that the combos Behringer edition are currently *not* supported on Intel based macs, and may not work properly.

sorry for not specifying my question:
i was asking only about the software, since ive plugged the guitar to the pedal, which is plugged directly into the built-in input of the macbook...

    "not connected"

Good news! Choosing 'aggregate device' for both inputs and outputs 1 & 2 respectively proved to be the solution to my problem. I hope it will solve yours, too.

    Thanks again.

This is an odd thing that Apple introduced in 10.4 and it's how you have to deal with all devices that use built-in.

    tx for the reply

Thanks for your answer, however, i can´t seem to find that "create...." button anywhere in the audio MIDI device - utility... and, since it may also be found in the help-section of the program, this does sound pretty weird....
    :(

    OSX 10.4

    Applications > Utilities > Audio/MIDI Setup

Change to the "Audio Devices" Page.

It's the "Audio" Pull-down menu on that page, which has the key command/shortcut: Command Shift A

    That's exactly where it is.
