(MAC) Power problem: 2x Kontrol X1 + NI Audio 8

I have the same Macbook Pro 17 inch with 3 USB ports , does it matter what port you plug the x1's and the audio 8 into? I was planning on perhaps getting 2 x1's myself. As far as the Express 34 options, there are several witch may or maynot be for you check it

 

Could you let me know if the Macbook pro 17 works fine with the 3 USB ports?
With 2 - X1 and the Audio 8|?

A 17 in should work no problem with 2 x1's and an audio 8. My setup is 2 x1's on a 15in MBP. If I only use 1 X1, I don't need a powered hub, 2 I do. A 17in MBP is different with 3 USB ports. I dont see a reason why it wouldnt work, all 3 ports have sufficient power.

I read all this thread with interest and I think it's talking about the same problems I'm having starting from today: I added a USB keyboard (Novation REMOTE 25 SL) to my setup (MacBook + Maschine + Audio 8) and I sadly discovered that my small USB hub is not strong enough for everything

For what I understood, the suggestion is to always keep Audio 8 on one of the two MacBook USB ports, but which hub you suggest to buy for the rest (Maschine controller + Novation keyboard) ?
