    Hi guys!

I have a big problem, after I did latest updates on Traktor (2.6.6) and Mavericks (10.9.1) my Macbook Pro Retina 13" (July 2013) freezes completely after approx 1.5 hours of playing. I had to make a full reset with the power-button. This happened already during 3 last gigs to me, so I am very disappointed and don't know how to solve this problem. I hope you can help me with this issue.

    Here is my setup:
Macbook Pro Retina 13" (Summer 2013) with Mavericks 10.9.1
    Traktor Scratch Pro 2.6.6
    Kontrol X1
AUDIO DJ 8 or direct connection to Pioneer DJM-900 Nexus (freezing problem with both configurations)

Thank you for your help, guys

    Very bad...

Have a look in the S4 section.

Theres plenty of threads about this issue, and unfortunately, no solutions....

well, Traktor 2.6.7: same crash issues as before.
Seems new MacBook Air with USB3 are not working safe with NI usb hardware, with those one i own at least.
Same setup, same MacBook Air, same crash problems for my partner in crime here.

MacBook Air (bought december 2013) > 10.8.7 or 10.9.1 makes no difference: crashes
    Traktor Scratch Pro 2.6.7
    Kontrol X1 MK1
    Audio DJ 8

I'd just want to kindly know what I have to do with my new brand MacBook Air since I bought it to only use running Traktor...
Should I have to sell it right now or it will worth to wait for a solution?

I have the same big problem now with 2.6.7. i just get a new Macbook PRO (last week) and cannot work with Traktor 2.6.7 because it craches every time i open it in the first few seconds, just after loading collection...

I have to work with my old version of Traktor Scratch 1.2.7. which is working well.....

I switch off the power NAP, and nothing change....what is this **** ? Anyone ?

have you tried logging in as a different user? also when you got the new macbook pro did you migrate from a previous machine, do a total fresh install or??
Fyi I'm on a new mbp running 2.6.5 with no issues....I have an NI audio interface but no NI hardware.

I'm asking that 'cause a think the point is about new Mac equipped with USB3.

I did a fresh new instal of everything, no migration at all.

You know what ! It is running perfectly when i login as a guest user on my own Macbook pro !!!!

What is this ****, anyone can tell me what is wrong with the administrator session using Traktor on his own macbook ?

So tired to fight against Traktor without any clue....

I have a late 2013 Macbook Pro retina, 15", 2.6 (I think, not here right now), basically the most tricked-out setup you can order.
That it all works (including hardware?) logged in as guest is some kind of clue for sure that something is conflicting.
If this was older-world OS I'd say start emptying your extensions folder to find the culprit.

I think somebody else has configured the laptop as administrator considering that you are guest.

To solve the problem consult the seller with your invoice depends how long is your warranty time.

Pretty much all modern OSs allow multiple user accounts, OP said s/he did a fresh install. I just suggested trying to login as a guest as opposed to admin as a test and it seemed to work.

No no i install and configure it myself from the beginning and it's my third macbook so....

It crashes when i'm logged in as admin, the only profil on the macbook....

Then it works properly when i run it under a new standard profil i have created, or guest porfil, name it.

It is bad...no clue no answers...

    Problem Solved !

Do not add Itunes music folder to your music folders or import to collection, it cause traktor chrashing when try to load collection at start up...

I have a funny feeling it has something to do with the retina display and Traktor not liking it too much.
Every time I open my preferences and move or try to resize this window there's a purple video glitching around the edges of the window - not a good sign.
I have a few other apps crash displaying cryptic messages about window sizes etc.
Test Traktor with different sizes, scaled or not.
