Hello, I bought Mk3 4 months ago, very pain full to learn it and work with machine software, in other hand is a bit fun, well I have question and I m bit confused about editing patterns on Mk3
When I have Pattern 1 loaded with some instruments and I want to make a second pattern in the same group ,the second pattern just loaded as not empty, always carries the previous instruments from pattern 1 ,I want an empty pattern after pattern 1 in the same group, how comes? and when I have dublicate pattern 1 and 2 , when I delete an instrument in pattern 2 parallel deletes instrument 1,why, how can I have 2 patterns as they are the same but work individual with both?
    please help

First of all, you are missing some basic Maschine concepts understanding. I recommend reading getting started Manual or watching some beginner Maschine tutorial on YT.
Instrument occupies sound slot not a group (but effects can be put on a group). Patterns are group based, but they can utilise every sound slot in the group. So if you want create new pattern with new sound you have to put that sound (sample or instrument) in the new sound slot.

Thanks for your time. Yes I agree so what I understood, is that, i can put a new sound in the second pattern but not replace the previous one.
What I m saying is : I have in a group A the first pattern loaded in a pad mode with 3 slots of sounds (samples or instruments), when I hit create a new pattern 2 this new pattern comes with the previous sounds from the first pattern (not the notes )just the sounds it self, so if I try (that I did )to change the already slot of sound with a defer sound or instrument, parallel changing and the first pattern, so at the end, what you are saying is that I have to create a new slot with the sound I want and leave the previous there untouched in pattern 2 ,yes?

You can use 16 sound slots but they are "fix" points in the group. Pattern is what you draw with MIDI only. If you replace a sound it affects the whole group so your Patterns will trigger the new sound.

If you familiar with linear audio applications you know that you can have only one sound on each track. It's the same for Maschine.
You can create new group, load new sounds and then create patterns for that sounds. You can also create a new pattern within the same group, but you need to use new sound slots for new sounds. If you alter or delete an existing sound it will effect your previous patters too – midi will stay the same but the sound will change.
