Machine Studio or Kontrol?

Hello to everybody,

this is my first post in this forum. I'm about to get a Kontrol Keyboard together with NI Komplete Ultimate 10.

Today I got the opportunity to work with an apleton push device and was very expressed about the workflow and the possibility of supporting my creativity.

The question now is:

1. Rather buy Machine Studio and using it together with a midi keyboard (not NI Kontrole) for a start.
2. Could I than use the Machine Studio to select patterns out of Kontakt and play them with my keyboard, using Machine as a control device?
3. The Kontrol S keyboards offer some extended possibilities as e.g. arpeggiator, chord utilities e.g. Are these functions from the keyboard or from the Kontrol software, so I could use them with my keyboard?

I would appreciate any help, suggestions or estimations on these questions. Tanks a lot,, Uwe Stahlhofen

 

Hello,

that depends on your needs if you are a beatmaker buy maschine. With kontrol keyboard and komplete you´ll need a DAW like Cubase.
And if you have already a DAW and you are more a composer go with that.
