    Hi Folks!

Just cracking into the'Build your own Synth' lesson in the manual and I find that when I control/click(Mac) in the Structure window to look for:
'Insert Macro' --Building blocks etc, all i find is:New-1in-1out, new-2in-2out and new-empty.
    No 'Building blocks' option
Could this be missing? do updates replace such missing items?

Also to this day i still cant get any vocoders to work, strange as everything else in reaktor is working fine, i can get an effect working fine the shut that down and open a vocoder and nothing but dead air.
Is there a particular method peculiar to these things I am missing?

    Thanks
P.S otherwise over the moon with everything else : )

at the ensemble level you can only insert instruments, not macros or modules, but you should still have an abundant variety of instruments available. to check, click on the insert menu and select 'insert instrument'. a menu divided into different types of instruments should pop up ('analyzers and displays', 'effects - simple', etc). if they're not there, go to the reaktor 4 menu (next to the apple menu), and check that your directory settings are correct.

try vocoder2 from the user library; it's very basic and gives a classic vocoder sound. i couldn't really figure out how to get that sound from the 'classic vocoder' instrument in the library that shipped with reaktor. try plugging a simple synth like 'clasic 2-vco' using the string preset into carrier and a looped voice sample into mod and see if that sounds right to you.
