I recently bought a laptop, an Acer Aspire 7535G. The specs are as follows:

    CPU: AMD Turion ZM-82, 2.2GHz, 2MB Cache
    RAM: 4GB DDR2 667MHz
    HDD: 500GB
    VGA: 17.3" WXGA
    GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon HD4570, 512MB DDR2
    OS: Vista Home Premium

Since then I've loaded all my programs, games and music onto it. I installed my Behringer BCD 3000 driver and connected it up. I opened Traktor for the first time and after configuring the Input/Output/Midi settings the program just wouldn't respond for minutes at a time. I checked task manager and apparently Traktor was consuming around 512MB of my RAM. I'm not too sure but I don't think this is normal. I have the same traktor and behringer driver on my other PC and it works perfectly. I then tried the changing the compatibily option under the properties of the Traktor shortcut. Whenever I set the program to run in compatibility to Windows XP SP2 the amount of memory the program ate up was that of around 200MB. Whenever I try to play a track the playback plays unbelievably slow. So slow that no audio is heard.

I don't know what to do and I really want to get this working soon! Hope someone can help! Thanks!

TRaktor uses a lot of ram for audio buffering so 512Mb is more than usual..

WAs ther any CPU peak ?

Nice work on your laptop, now here we go

My Advice upgrade to windows 7 you should be able to do this for free

Once you completed your PC operating system software install a fresh copy of TTP or TPRO should be installed as well, make sure you backup your Data files and music.

Make sure you update your soundcard drivers and BCD 3000 Drivers

Before you run TTS or TPRO Shut down your antivirus software until you restart buy using your task bar and selecting when you will like it to start, a permanent way is to go into your services area, this is big, you want to proceed with care and do your research with caution and disable the automatic function. Just go with manual mode.

Try this I am not responsible but maybe it will help you out ;) Good Luck

I've uploaded a screen shot and attached it to this post. As you can see in the audio setup there are 3 input devices available to choose from. Whenever I choose the first once Traktor just freezes up and REALLY slows down. It cannot be used. The last device works fine except when I play a track it's playback is very very slow.
I tried Windows 7 but the sound was terrible I don't know what is wrong with it.

Ur Problems will be from the Audio driver of the BCD...so search for new ones, or try the ASIO4ALL drivers

I have the latest BCD 3000 Driver (1.2). But I'll give that 'ASIO4ALL' a go. Thank you! I'll let you know if it helps! :)

You don't want to use the third one - it is the WASAPI driver. The ASIO driver is the one to use. I'd advise deinstalling and reinstalling your BCD drivers and perhaps disabling your on-board sound if that doesn't work.

OK Bump. If I go with ASIO there is no slow down and all works grand. Except I can't seem to get the output working properly. I can't use the headphones to monitor/cue. Only the main output works. Any ideas?
