Make Traktor a proper Music organising Tool

I know, Traktor is made to perform on stage and that supposed to be it's key feature. But this is shifting more and more in to the background with all thous nice Native controllers on the marked. I'm now a proud owner of a S5 and don't use the Traktor software while performing anymore in the foreground. Now I have the chance to use the laptop screen for Maschine or Live to perform together with the S5 controller.

But Traktor is and will still be important in my process to prepare my sets and manage my content. But that's actually where Traktor is really bad at. So please let us overthink Traktors possibilities and workflow.

1.
Pleas give us an option to make Traktor managing our music collection. I would love to have folders on my computer matching my playlist. So if I ad a track to the playlist it will move this track to the folder with the same name on my hard drive (or copy if this track is in an other playlist as well). This way I can easely grab a folder and play it on some other computer or put it on an usb stick to play it with club pitchers. I even could have all my playlist saved on dropbox and could work all around the world spontaneously on my sound and perform it without brining my laptop all along.

2.
Give us the option to tag our music. I have over 200 Gigs of Music, it's hard to keep the overview. If I work on a new set, I would love to search for Intros, then maybe add something uplifting, then a nice mashup,... I think you get the concept.

3.
Bring colours to Traktor. I would love to color tracks with a hard base line red, melodic vocals blue, hard beats with vocals purple and so on. I know, it might loss some of its nice dark look, but common, it's a tool to work with and visual fatback can be very handy to keep focus on a tens stage performance.

I know it's a lot of work. For example idea number 1 would require you to change the file paths from absolut to relativ (I anyway don't understand why they are absolute at the first place). If you struggle, don't hesitate to get in contact with me. I would love to help you as an experienced UX/UI designer make this great tool even better.

But, I think this train has long passed for Traktor... for one, this is how Rekordbox evolved into what it is, it started out as a media management package... (downside is they store much of the data in internal databases... so it's not easily re-usable elsewhere... which is their attempt to lock you into their ecosystem)
Secondly, the last 3-4 years have shown NI does not care much about Traktor. There might be something in the pipeline, but so far NI's actions in this area do not give much hope I feel.
The one thing I hope NI will give us at some point is better Metadata read/display capabilities, to make use of powerful custom tags (stuff like instrumental, instruments, mood, situation, time signature, etc) or multi value tags (i.e. have multiple values inside the genre field - eg 'Hip Hop; East Coast; New York' where each of these values could then be used via smart playlists [which you can get into Traktor/SSL/SDJ/RB via an itunes xml written out by MusicBee for example...] )

Yea thats very sad, is it still a great tool and for me a lot of memories as well. I'm part of traktor family since the start. But maybe your right and I should look in new directions.

#2 Option to tag. ...not sure if you know this but you can hit cmd I (mac) and change the tags. maybe your looking for more advance tagging options?

I did not take part in the latest beta but i believe that #3 color part of your suggestion is being implemented. Maybe someone with more info on the beta can confirm the colors addition in the beta.

 

At lest in my Traktor command or option I does not bring up anything. But anyway I thought more about something like Logic offers, maybe in a separate window (I know, its not Native Instruments conform). An option to ad tags to tracks and sot them as well, like this:

 

Best Music organising Tool I had used ever is Beatport Pro for Mac. Almost endless filter possibilities + community hints for tagging Mood etc. I wish something like this in Traktor, or two-way integration, or something at least.
