No, the resource container does NOT need to be in the My Documents folder at ALL. Resource containers were made with sole purpose of making custom graphics easier to transfer and install with non-Kontakt Player libraries. They just go to the library folder, that's it.

I can't see the problem with that, After all, the user will have already installed and activated Kontakt (if they want to use the independent library for more than 15 minutes) so will be relatively computer-knowledgeable.

All they need to do is find a folder and put the independent library in it (with the instruments, multis, resources, wallpaper, samples included, or in sub-folders). It needn't be in the Kontakt library folder itself, it could be alongside.

    Code:
    D:\Kontakt Libraries\Lyrical Distortion
    D:\Kontakt Libraries\Native Instruments
    D:\Kontakt Libraries\Sonic Reality
    D:\Kontakt Libraries\Synth Magic
    D:\Kontakt Libraries\The Electronic Garden
    D:\Kontakt Libraries\Zero-G
Then the user can just load the instruments using the Kontakt browser.

Agreed. It is not such a big deal for a user to do this.

The library can reside anywhere, really. It can be unpacked and used on the desktop, as long as you explain in your docs to navigate to it using the Browser's "Files" tab instead of the "Libraries" tab. In my installation instructions, I suggest creating a new Sample Libraries folder, and placing the new library there. Most experienced users will know this, especially if they routinely buy sample libraries from independent developers.

No installer is needed for non-KP library installs. The user just unpacks the folder structure to a folder of his/hers choice.

Great! I can't send pms and even reply them because I have less than 20 posts on the forum..

TCollins, in couple words, thank you for the support!
