    Hi all

    First Time poster here.

I recently installed a custon mapping for for my mixtrack pro. I love this mapping, however the original user changed the mapping on the scratch button to enable the eq knobs switch between Hi, mid and Lo and filter, key and gain. They also disbaled the scratch mode completely.

Can somone please give me step by step instrcution on how to turn the scratch mode back on and say assign to the pitch gain + button please.

I have tried for weeks, but just connot get my head around the mapping process.

Sorry for being so forward, just relaly need some help with this!

    Cheers

You need to look for the actual entry in the mapping table for button. An easy way would be to click the AddIn button, the just select Modifier 1 for now. Click the Learn button and see what MIDI not or button name is returned. Then delete that new entry and go looking for another entry in the table with that same MIDI Note or button name, which will probably set a modifier when pressed to allow the switch between EQ and Filter/Key/Gain. You could either delete this enter (but kill your Filter/Gain/Key mapping in the process) or just note down which modifier is set when the button is pressed.

Let's assume you progress with the use the existing modifier, and let's say it sets M1=1, now you need to map the jog wheel scratch function with this modifier condition. Toulouse need to use the AddIn - Deck Common - Jog Turn function and then use the learn button to map it to your Jogwheel.

I had a quick go at his on my S4 to remap my jogs, but wasn't convinced I had it entirely working - but hopefully this gets you moving. My mapping tutorials might also be useful

Hi guys - I am a first time poster here.. [so forgive me if I go on a little]

I have been having issues for the last little while with mapping my S2 MK2.. For those of you who have used it, you have 2 buttons [A and B] under the remix deck master volume control [it effects the volume of decks c + d when in remix deck mode]

These buttons normally turn your cue points, into the top row of each remix deck for easy access..
I run 2x Kontrol F1's [so I always have the remix decks fully accessible] so for me, this is a moot functionality. I have uploaded a photo to show you what my setup is, and that might give you some idea as to how it might benefit me [I had the original MK1 S2 when this was taken, I have since upgraded to the S2 MK 2] :)

What I am trying to do, is remap those buttons, and the cue buttons, when those buttons are switched on [they are toggles for on/off] to give me similar to a "serato slicer" functionality [basically it sets a soft loop, and it gives me access to the 8 beats so i can jump back and forwards through them....] My theory was to use the cue's 1, 2 ,3 and 4 as normal, but if I held shift while they were on, they could access beats 5, 6, 7 or 8.. Then to switch it off [or to go back to my cue points, hit the small A or B button's again.

Obviously this would be an extremely powerful tool for live mixing, but is proving problematic a) because of my limited knowledge of how to set up a mapping, and b) i am afraid I will kill my normal functionality.

Are you able to point me in the right direction, or maybe offer some ideas on how to best do this?

    Many thanks!

I'm happy to be corrected, but thought the slicer was only available in TraktorDJ for iOS and thus unfortunately the mapping controls you need for this don't easily exist.
