Mapping MIDI out to drive Maschine LED's

Hello everyone,

I have Traktor and a Maschine that I am making a custom midi mapping for. I have many functions and macros mapped and everything is working great except I cannot seem to make the Maschine Pad's light up as you press a pad. I looked through the output area and I understand how to map functions to a button but how do you map a button itself to it's led?

It feels weird to press a pad button and it not light up for feedback.

you have to start the NI controller center and there you have to switch to Midicontrol "on" at the Assign Page for the Button you have linked to the function...

 

Wow, I cannot believe I overlooked that.

Turned midi control off on the led setting (assign page) and now it triggers fine without needing traktor to send a midi note.

Does anybody here know how to switch off Machine´s LED completely with MIDI message?
I want to use it for a Mapping of Traktor 2 - and e.g. showing the status of a Sample slot.

when empty the LED should be switched off and when a sample is loaded - it should light with 10 %. When sample is playing - LED brightness should turn to 100 %...
The toggle between 10 % and 100 % already is working - but I couldn´t find a proper solution for LED at 0 % when the Sample slot is empty

 

@jknobloch: I was using a modifier to control the LED state on maschine. Wondering if you can do the same? If you can set a modifier to 1 when the sample slot is in use and then a out led event when modifier = 1?

Lights are on for 127, dim for 0 and off if the button is not being used in the controller editor.

 

@ jknobloch, how did you map the light to go on when the sample is playing, i see you cant get it to go off when sample is empty, bu if possible id still lke it to be 100% lit when sample playing.. though cant seem to figue it out!
